Copper Screen Shielded Enclosures and Cabinets
Universal Shielding Corp. has been designing shielded/screened enclosures worldwide since 1972 and has
provided to the industry in excess of 14,000 enclosures.
An interference free environment is provided which speeds testing to enable one to obtain reliable test data.
Our pre-fabricated enclosures are available in both standard modules and customized design.
USC's Highly Selected Series
USC-26
Laminated wood core panels with galvanized steel on both surfaces. The series will provide 110db min. of
attenuation from 14 KHz to 10 GHz when subject to electric fields and plane waves.
USC-44
Frames with copper screening adhered to each frame surface. Advantages of this type of construction:
- Communication easily transmitted between interior and exterior.
- Special ventilation is not required.
- VISUAL observations of testing is possible from exterior of enclosure.
Construction
- Both USC-26 and USC-44 series panels are interconnected with a framing system to form the enclosure.
- Enclosures are completely erected from interior and thus can be placed in proximity to parent room walls.
- Can be dismantled, transported, re-erected, and still maintain their attenutation capabilities.
- Parts are all numbered to enable customer to install chamber rapidly.
Doors
- Our enclosures provide extraordinary shielding attenuation. This is attributed to the shielded enclosure door design, Model RCM-154. Door design encompasses:
- Concealed fingerstock - This design results in a damage free closure seal.
- Three point latch system.
- Standard door clear opening 36" X 84". Other sizes are available.

RF Shielded Cabinets
- Pre-Fabricated USC-26 and USC-44 shielded/screen desk cabinets.
- Cabinets are portable and can be placed on desks or work tables. If large cabinets are desired, moveable platforms can be
provided.

Rapid Installation
- Enclosures are completely pre-fabricated; there is no cutting or welding to be performed in the field.
- Assembled with standard tools.
Installation Options
- Installed by customer with complete USC installation drawings.

- Turn-key - USC personnel to erect enclosures.
